2 seasons cold and hot, for unknown reasons, most likely the Axolotl Gods' doing to create seasons when they saw the world wouldn't naturally get any, the frozen wasteland air beyond the Sun's grace gets swept up by the Moon's updrafts and sent inwards in the global air circulation cycle, flooding it with colder air and pushing the wastes inward to create winter, only while the moon is in the latter 4 color sections. The hot season is when the cold wastes air and cycle air almost never mixes, so the air is stuck in the cycle, constantly passed by the Sun which heats it up and sends it out, and due to it barely leaving the system and mixing with the wastes air, the cycle keeps the heat.

The Holy Stone: It says “Keep this stone at the World Core (Sun) or else the Sun will go out and never relight.” And someone did 682 years ago, it took 7 years for the stone to be returned, in that time the world froze over and ALMOST caused a mass extinction, but the Axolotl Gods kept species from dying, the year when the stone was returned marks Year 0TA (Today's Age) in the current traditional calendar, years before are marked Before Today's Age (BTA).
