Mermaids

People with no legs, they have fish like tails. They breathe air but can speak underwater, when their cities are usually on coasts or floating and as such attract other people. They can live in fresh and salt water, and often during wars, they raid and hold rivers hostage, destroying bridges and obliterating ships. When people are fishing, and a mermaid is caught, it is customary for them to take all caught fish from then ship as an apology.

The biggest minority race of mermaid is siren, they have two common jobs, conman, professional singer.
