Frozen Wastes

The Infinite Frozen Wastes are the areas beyond the habitable portion of the world, starting an average of 5160 mi or 8305 km from the Sun, at the Moon's orbit. Beyond this radius from the Sun, it never gets above freezing (very near this radius it can occasionally get above freezing), ice builds up drastically, and the Sun gets lower and lower down to the horizon, thus it also gets darker and darker, the farthest out lifeform ever found is a single microbe at 6742 miles from the Sun.

At 5890 miles from the Sun is a limit known as the Essetia Line, named after Jakob Essetia, a man who claimed that at that distance, he could no longer find any large patches of microbes.

There is very little life well into the Frozen Wastes, but there is a small ecosystem, of Frozen Wastes Moss, occasional flies, and some migratory birds.

In terms of people, the entire Frozen Wastes beyond has just a little over 18k people, most are located in The Wasteland Stations, well organized city states that were set up by The Extra Kingdom Icy Wasteland Beyond The Sun's Reach Research Organization, basically research bases, but entire towns. The farthest out one is at the Essetia Line on a plateau, beyond the Swagxolotl Moonslice.
