Baconstew

Baconstew was a well respected nation in the White moonslice It was conquered by the growing Lucy Empire in 1556 (19 years ago), the ruler, Jesse Planner, is currently in exile having narrowly escaped. The moonwise half of the nation became Moonwise Baconstew Province, which was recently renamed to James' Land after the current Lucy Empire Emperor, and the sunwise half had the "Sunwise" prefix dropped.

Baconstew was a formidable nation, with a large population of 23M, and some of the greatest soldiers, with incredible reflexes and aim with guns, however, the Lucy Empire managed to outmatch it with sheer numbers, the war lasted nearly a decade and by the time it was over the Lucy Empire had triple the casualties, but managed to occupy the Baconstew capital and force a surrender.

Baconstew has a lot of autonomy in the Empire, because 23M people is hard to quell, so they are kept just happy enough to not want to revolt. But a revolution is being planned, and if executed as planned, half the provinces in the empire will revolt.

Annoyingly, Baconstew City, the former capital, is in the half not currently named Baconstew.
